Jerry Simoneaux is the presiding judge of Harris County Probate Court 1, a service-first, technology court assuring swift and accessible justice for all. He previously served four years as an Associate Judge of the Houston Municipal Courts. His legal practice focused on probate, trust, and guardianship litigation. He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars locally and around the state.
Probate Courts serve people when they are at their most vulnerable. The court helps those who have lost a loved one or whose loved one is challenged by intellectual disabilities or dementia. People also come to probate court seeking justice in claims for wrongful death, certain traumatic injuries, and for alleged wrongs claimed against executors, administrators, guardians, and trustees.
