I am thrilled to share incredible news from the 2025 Houston Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Poll. Thanks to the hard work of our court staff and your unwavering support, I have received the #1 rated in various categories out of the 91 trial court judges evaluated.
In addition to these results, I have an important update regarding the March Primary Election and the status of my campaign for the upcoming season.
Detailed Results: A Court Committed to Excellence
Serving as your Judge for Harris County Probate Court 1 is a privilege I take very seriously. I am deeply honored that my peers in the legal community have recognized our commitment to maintaining a court that is fair, efficient, and respectful.
Here is a closer look at the ratings from the 2025 evaluation:
- Ranked #1 in "Excellent" scores among all 91 trial court judges evaluated.
- 82.8% Overall Rating of "Excellent" & "Very Good".
- 84.4% rated me "Excellent" or "Very Good" for being courteous and attentive toward attorneys and witnesses.
- 81.1% rated me "Excellent" or "Very Good" for working hard and being prepared.
- 79.8% rated me "Excellent" or "Very Good" for following the law and demonstrating impartiality.
A Commitment to Impartiality
I am particularly proud of the bipartisan nature of this support. These numbers reflect that our coalition is not limited to those who typically vote for candidates of one party or another; rather, it includes a broad spectrum of voters and legal professionals.
This is exactly how it should be. As a judge, I am deeply committed to fairness and impartiality—not just in my rulings from the bench, but in how I engage with every member of our community.
Primary Election Update: Stepping Back to Let Others Shine
I am also pleased to confirm that I am unopposed in the upcoming March Primary Election.
Because I do not have a challenger in the primary, I have decided to keep my campaign "dormant" during this primary season. Many of my outstanding colleagues face opponents this March, and I want to give them the space and airtime they need to make their cases on the campaign trail without distraction.
We will ramp our efforts back up as we approach the General Election, but for now, I simply want to thank you. These excellent poll results belong to you as much as they belong to me—they are proof that your support has helped build a court that serves Harris County with dignity.
